Titanium Exhausts

A Titanium exhaust can help shave extra kilograms off a car, but Titanium isn't always as suitable for exhausts as people think. Standard grade 2 Titanium is only capable of coping with exhaust temperatures of up to 450°C. With exhaust gas often reaching above 1000°C near the engine, Grade 2 isn’t something we’d use for exhaust work, but it is a perfect lightweight material for use in lower temperature components.

However, we have sourced a Titanium alloy with the same weight as grade 2 titanium, this alloy is capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 800°C, making it a great solution for exhaust work and other high temperature applications.

To deal with the very high temperatures around the engine, for manifolds and downpipes, we’d recommend either Inconel or stainless steel. For more information click below!
